The transport industry, both passenger and freight, uses many products created by vacuum thermoforming. Examples include airline, railway and bus seats, aircraft cabin furnishings, train and bus interior elements, caravan and motor home elements, animal trailer elements, truck and bus elements. The materials most commonly used in this industry are polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS and ABS with acrylic. Production machines are usually fully automated, equipped with an automatic material feeder and many options to speed up production, e.g. halogen heaters, electric servo drives, central cooling system, etc. Final processing usually requires the use of a 5-axis CNC milling machine.
